KUALA LUMPUR, 30 JUNE 2021: In its sixth year running the Corporate Accelerator Program, this year, NEXEA will be partnering with the startup ecosystem which includes Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC), MBAN, Amazon AWS, Cyberview and MDEC to co-organise the Corporate Accelerator Program. A 5-month program, the Corporate Accelerator Program, seeks to guide early stage startups and scaleups to grow exponentially.
In this partnership, MaGIC, MBAN, Amazon AWS, Cyberview and MDEC will be channelling startups to the Corporate Accelerator Program by NEXEA. Startups will enjoy benefits from the startup ecosystem in the form of potential grants, support, and incentives through programs offered by the startup ecosystem.
The channeling goes both ways with NEXEA also funneling startups to programs of the startup ecosystem thus enabling better access to the support provided by the startup ecosystem.To the startup ecosystem, NEXEA will be bringing in their ‘investor-mentors’ who are angel investors that also possess a trove of business experience, industry knowledge and connections all to share with the upcoming entrepreneurs. The said ‘investor-mentors’ will also invest RM50,000 to RM250,000 per startup or scaleup during the Corporate Accelerator Program.
With NEXEA partnering with the startup ecosystem for the Corporate Accelerator Program, this allows for better matching of programs and benefits for the startups. Benefits could come in the form of support programs such as the Entrepreneurs Program. It could also present itself as investments and grant programs as well as connections with government agencies and corporations.
The partnering of NEXEA with the startup ecosystem is key as the startup ecosystem is now working in unison by sharing information, resources and effort to better aid startups. This joint effort of NEXEA and the startup ecosystem is only the beginning of the Malaysian startup ecosystem coming together to deepen our relationships and to grow more startups in a combined effort.
