Leadership Forum to Advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among SME's

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Dec. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Asia Pacific CSR Council supported by the United Nations Global Compact Network Malaysia and My Events Turnkey organised the Leadership Forum to Advance The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among SME's. The conference was hosted at iSpace, Level 9, Plaza VADS, Taman Tun Dr.Ismail, Kuala Lumpur and the strategic partner is MCM Holdings Ltd. The Guest of Honor for the programme was The Honourable YB Tuan Ustaz Hasanuddin Mohd Yunus, Malaysia Member of Parliament for Hulu Langat.

Since 2008, Asia Pacific CSR Council had championed the United Nations Global Compact 10 Principles which emphasizes the four tenets of Human Rights, Environment, Labour Standard and Anti-Corruption working alongside with partners such as UN Global Compact Network Singapore and Malaysia since 2016 and the International Chamber of Commerce since 2008. With the passing of United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDG) into the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) since 2015 by 192 countries focusing in 17 areas, the organizer believed it is timely for entrepreneur to be recognized for their effort in achieving entrepreneurship sustainability in the Asia Pacific region.

In conjunction with the forum, the organizer has also presented the Most Influential Sustainable Entrepreneur Awards. This award recognises entrepreneurs, corporate leaders and outstanding businesses in the region that had demonstrated excellence in the area of entrepreneurship sustainability, business sustainability and leadership in the increasing competitive market place.
