ACL Semiconductors Highlights Exceptional July Performance

HONG KONG, Aug. 31, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- ACL Semiconductors Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ACLO), a leading China-based distributor of Samsung memory components in Hong Kong and Southern China, today provided a financial update for the month of July 2011.

Mr. Chung-Lun Yang, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ACL Semiconductors Inc., commented, "With the great support from our customers, net revenue grew 62% month to month in July 2011 compared to June 2011. With the price stabilization and reduction of cost from our suppliers, we are pleased to report a strong rebound in gross profit for the month of July. Gross profit surged 242% as compared to the month of June 2011. The second quarter certainly was a very challenging time for the global markets with much pessimism; however our July performance gives us confidence that we are on the way to a recovery."

For the month of July 2011, ACL Semiconductors reported net revenue of $32.6 million, an increase from $20.1 million, or up 62% as compared to the month of June 2011.

Gross profit for the month of July 2011 was $2.3 million, an increase from $659,000, or 242% as compared to the month of June 2011.

Mr. Chung-Lun Yang, continued, "The growth in July is attributed to an increase in sales volume, price stabilization as well as suppliers cost reduction. We continued expanding our customer network and our suppliers supported us with very favorable offer terms which has led to a bright start to the third quarter. We believe we are back on track to profitability and expect this growth to continue into the second half of 2011. We are well on our way to reaching an annual revenue of over a quarter of a billion dollars and we remain confident of reaching this goal based on our performance at the beginning of the third quarter 2011."
