Actions Semiconductor Raises Revenue Outlook for First Quarter 2013

ZHUHAI, China, April 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Actions Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (Nasdaq: ACTS), one of China's leading fabless semiconductor companies that provides comprehensive portable multimedia and mobile internet system-on-a-chip (SoC) solutions for portable consumer electronics, today announced that it is raising its revenue guidance for the first quarter of 2013 based on the Company's preliminary review of its anticipated financial performance.

For the first quarter of 2013, Actions expects to report revenue in the range of $16.0 to $16.5 million and gross margin of approximately 36%. The company's previous guidance for first quarter was revenue of $12.0 to $13.0 million and gross margin of approximately 35%. The improved revenue guidance for the first quarter of 2013 is primarily driven by stronger than expected sales of Actions' newest tablet product, OWL series ATM7029 chipset.

Additional information for the first quarter will be available when Actions reports its quarterly results on May 7, 2013. The Company will issue a press release announcing the details of its first quarter conference call closer to the date.
