HANGZHOU, China, October 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Chint/Astronergy announced it has achieved excellent results in PVEL's Vendor Qualification Test.
With the influx of PV modules into the US market, it creates more difficulty for customers to choose the reliable PV module to sustain stable output. PVEL established an independent lab for the solar industry with the purpose of assessing the reliability of PV modules by maximized accelerated degradation testing. PVEL has an extensive list of downstream partners that participate in this program including developers, banks, and EPC companies. The firm will provide impartial test data for the financial community and empower independent engineering firms with real data.
Astronergy submitted its PV panels to PVEL for evaluation of module robustness which is 3 times of IEC 61215 reliability test standard and PVEL evaluated module response to simulated harsh conditions such as thermal cycling, humidity freezing, UV, high voltage, damp heat, PID and mechanical failure. Astronergy has achieved A-grade for most of the tests. The positive results signify the excellent quality and reliability of Astronergy modules and add more comfort to the financial institutions.
