Astronergy Appoints General Manager for German Branch

HANGZHOU, China, Feb. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Astronergy (Chint Solar) announced a key addition to its global management team. Thomas Heinl joined the company in February 2011 as General Manager of Astronergy Solar Deutschland GmbH, responsible for all related business activities including sales, marketing and market strategy in West, North, East and Central Europe.

With a degree in Electronic Engineering, Mr. Heinl laid a foundation for his work in the semiconductor industry with 18 years of experience with Infineon Technologies AG (formerly Siemens AG) and Qimonda AG, where he held several positions including VP of Sales and Marketing, VP of Global Sales Operations and Senior Director of Corporate Purchasing.  Prior to joining Astronergy, Thomas was the Director of Strategic Procurement for Conergy AG, a leading solar company based in Germany.  Thomas' collective experience in sales and marketing, the semiconductor industry and general management for corporations across the globe will be a major asset for Astronergy.
