HANGZHOU, China, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Astronergy Solar was named "China Outstanding Enterprise of the Year", a title jointly awarded by CEO & CIO Magazine and Tsinghua University's School of Management. Among the ten Chinese enterprises to receive the award were Lenovo, Midea, Anta and Sohu. Astronergy Solar distinguished itself as the only company in the photovoltaics industry to receive the award.
The poll jointly conducted by CEO & CIO Magazine and Tsinghua University's School of Management collected nominations from a variety of general and professional sources, citing companies' abilities to reform during economic crises, innovate in the strategic management of their enterprises and enhance corporate productivity, as grounds for nomination. The evaluation committee found it commendable that the collaborative efforts of Astronergy and its parent company, the Chint Group, have brought energy distribution product lines into renewable energy markets. With the current appeal of high-performance thin film in the solar PV market and industry-driven technological innovation, Astronergy has been able to open up new sales channels, providing customers with an entire series of Chint products to accompany their solar modules. These products include transmission and distribution equipment, cables and components.
An initial nomination of a hundred companies possessing "sustainable systems of innovation" was narrowed down to the final ten award winners, voted on by an evaluation committee made up of notable entrepreneurs, consultants, academics, and journalists.
