CNinsure Announces Cash Dividend

GUANGZHOU, China, May 21 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- CNinsure Inc. (Nasdaq: CISG), a leading independent insurance intermediary company operating in China, today announced that its Board of Directors has declared a cash dividend of US$0.011 per ordinary share, equivalent to US$0.22 per American Depositary Share), which amounts to a total payment of US$10,037,475. The cash dividend is payable on or around July 15, 2009 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on June 26, 2009. The dividends to be paid to the ADS holders through the depositary bank will be subject to the terms of the deposit agreement, including the fees and expenses payable thereunder.

Commenting on the cash dividend, CNinsure's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Yinan Hu, said, "The Company has maintained strong growth momentum since its IPO in October 2007. As a result of the Company's sound financial position and strong cash flow, the Board has decided to pay this dividend to our shareholders. Although we do not expect to declare and pay cash dividends on a regular basis in the foreseeable future, we will determine future dividend payments, if any, based on our future results of operations, cash flow and capital requirements, among other things."
