Charm Communications Names Johnny Zhu Group Vice President

BEIJING, February 1, 2013 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Charm Communications Inc. (NASDAQ: CHRM) ("Charm" or the "Company"), a leading advertising agency in China, today announced that Mr. Johnny Honggang Zhu, the general manager of Charm Click, has been promoted to vice president of Charm, effective immediately.

Mr. Zhu will continue to lead Charm Click, as well as take on a new role as head of Charm Interactive's business in northern China. Mr. Zhu will continue to report directly to Mr. He Dang, the Company's founder, chairman and chief executive officer.

Mr. Zhu joined Charm as general manager of Charm Click in June 2011 when Charm acquired a 60% stake in ClickPro, a leading Chinese performance and search engine marketing ("SEM") firm that Mr. Zhu founded in 2007. Under his leadership, Charm Click won the 2012 Baidu Discovery Award and 2011 Taobao Outstanding Partner Award. Most recently, he helped Charm Click become the official SEM agency for Baidu's European business.
