BEIJING, Oct. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) announced at its annual China Outbound Conference, held in Beijing today, details of CBBC's brand-new website designed specifically to help Chinese investors identify investment opportunities in the UK or third markets around the globe.

The Chinese-language site - www.chinaoutbound.org - will help Chinese companies to "go global" by providing a directory of UK projects for which investors are sought. These investment opportunities are classified according to region and industrial sector to assist Chinese users.

The UK is the number one destination in Europe for Chinese investors, according to the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, and the fourth most popular worldwide, thanks to its welcoming stance, favourable economic environment, excellent legal and policy support and other factors such as the English language.

The China Outbound website, part of CBBC's China Outbound programme, has been designed to help British companies and investment promotion agencies present opportunities directly to Chinese companies in their own language.

The website includes case studies of recent Chinese investment in the UK, such as the successful ventures involving Huawei, ABP, Dalian Wanda and Sanpower. Chinese companies have directly invested over US$4 billion in the UK in 2014. Website users will be able to find the most up-to-date projects in key sectors such as advanced technology, retail, and urban regeneration, property and infrastructure, among many others.
