China Datacom Corporation Joined Exhibition in Fujian Province, Got Market Recognition and Government Support

BEIJING, July 27 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- China Datacom Corporation (Pink Sheets: CDPN) ("CDPN"), which provides GPS and wireless application software services in the transportation industry through its operating subsidiary General Link Information System Co. Ltd ("General Link" or the "Company"), today announced that General Link, together with China Unicom, jointly promoted the Company's brand -- "iLBS" (Intelligent Location Bases Services) at the Information and Communication Applications Exhibition which was held on June 18th, 2007, in the Fujian province, the involved participants from Mainland China and Taiwan as well.

This exhibition, showcasing the highest standards in the information and communication industry of the Fujian Province, was organized by the local government. Some government officers came to this exhibition and showed great interests in "iLBS". This GPS satellite positioning system for vehicles can play a role in the prevention and reduction of traffic accidents to increase road transportation safety. The system can also improve management efficiency and the quality of service of relevant government departments.

The governors of Fujian Province gave an affirmative evaluation and many valuable suggestions to General Link. They hope that "iLBS" system can further improve the standard of service and reduce the cost in transportation management and control, making a greater contribution to Fujian province. One television programme -- "Technology Wind" of Fujian Television -- broadcasted a feature report about the event, with particular focus on General Link and "iLBS".

In 2006, General Link and China Unicom finished the nation's first large-scale application and successful operation based on CDMA 1X and launched the iLBS brand as a part of the national brand Wireless Horizon of China Unicom. As at Jan 2007, the services of General Link were available to all customers located in nearly 4 provinces in China and soon will be available in others, following the agreement with China Unicom on operations in at least 10 provinces.
