China Hydroelectric Corporation Announces Management Change

NEW YORK, August 27, 2012 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- China Hydroelectric Corporation (NYSE: CHC, CHCWS) ( "China Hydroelectric" or "the Company"), an owner, developer and operator of small hydroelectric power projects in the People's Republic of China, today announced that on August 22, 2012, "James" Tie Li resigned as President of the Company. The Board has accepted Mr. Li's resignation and was informed that Mr. Li resigned for reasons unrelated to actions recently taken by certain shareholders of the Company.
