SINGAPORE, April 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- China Yuchai International Limited (NYSE: CYD) ("China Yuchai" or the "Company"), a leading manufacturer and distributor of engines in China, announced today that its main operating subsidiary, Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Company Limited ("GYMCL") has won the China Quality Award Nomination.
This is the second time that GYMCL has won the China Quality Award Nomination and the reason for its win is due to its lean management model of waste reduction and sustainable improvement. GYMCL maintains a quality policy that focuses on "professional, precision, innovation and leadership".
The China Quality Awards, which takes place once every two years, is organized by China's State Council and the National Bureau of Quality Inspection. Representatives from the National Bureau of Quality Inspection, National Development and Reform Council, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the related research institutes under the State Council conducted the evaluation and selected GYMCL as the winner.
GYMCL is the only company in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to win this award and has also been awarded the National Quality Award and the Guangxi Governor's Quality award.
