Chrysler LLC Names Corning Top Supplier of Ceramic Substrates for Catalytic Converters

Corning Receives 2007 Chrysler Supplier Pentastar Award

CORNING, N.Y., Jan 18 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Corning Incorporated (NYSE: GLW) announced on Jan. 17 that Chrysler LLC awarded it with the 2007 Chrysler Supplier Pentastar Award for excellent performance and delivery of ceramic substrates, the keystone component of automotive catalytic converters. This award in Chrysler's Chassis category recognizes Corning as an outstanding supplier of substrates and global leader in ceramic technologies.

Winners were determined by the unanimous decision of senior members of the Chrysler Procurement, Supplier Quality and Supply organizations, and are presented to suppliers with excellent performance in the critical value drivers of quality, supply, cost and technology.
