Companies to Cooperate on Next-Generation Medium- to High- Throughput Systems
LOWELL, Mass., Sept. 8 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Corning Incorporated (NYSE: GLW), a global supplier of scientific laboratory and drug discovery products for more than 90 years, on Sept. 4, 2008 announced the signing of a commercial agreement with HighRes Biosolutions Inc. of Woburn, Mass. to develop innovative consumables to meet the needs of medium-to high-throughput screening customers. HighRes Biosolutions is a leading manufacturer of high-end automation for high-throughput screening (HTS). Under the terms of the agreement, a newly developed, next generation consumable will be manufactured and sold exclusively through Corning, but co-marketed by both companies. This innovative product is expected to be available the first quarter of 2009.
