Skilled On-Site Engineers Ensure Faster Issue Resolution and Crucial Cost Savings

SINGAPORE, Jan. 25 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Datacraft, the region's leading independent IT solutions and services company, has secured a three-year US$1 million-a-year managed services contract to maintain the critical IT infrastructure of one of Indonesia's cellular telecommunication providers. This is the largest services contract Datacraft has secured to-date in Indonesia and underlines the trusted role the company plays as a technology partner to the country's telecommunications industry.

The key to the contract is Uptime, Datacraft branded maintenance and support service, which ensures fast response and quick resolution of IT infrastructure problems. The end-to-end service helps deliver optimum support for business operations -- 24 x 7, 365 days a year -- through expert troubleshooting and problem resolution for mission-critical IT systems.

"The award of this Uptime maintenance services contract underlines the strong position we have built in Indonesia over the past few years," said Patrap Yakin, Country Manager of Datacraft Indonesia. "It's no secret that in the mobile telecommunications business, every player is looking to improve lead time to connect and reduce costs while increasing quality-of-service.

"Besides keeping downtime within acceptable parameters, Uptime also provides clients the valuable insight and reassurance as they plan for service expansion. In order to do this more effectively, we continually innovate to increase our level of pro-active support, which in turn helps clients improve their customer service delivery."

Through Datacraft Uptime, the Indonesian service provider can leverage Datacraft's unrivalled technical expertise together with the company's superior on-ground support, backed by a customised service level agreement. The client now has a single point of accountability for the operational availability of its mission-critical IT infrastructure.

Datacraft has also placed a team of engineers with deep networking expertise on-site with the Indonesian service provider, providing it with a full in-house skill set.

Datacraft has been providing solutions and services to the Indonesian service provider since 1998 and this positive experience was a critical factor in the decision to give Datacraft the wide-ranging responsibility for IT support. The new service contract covers equipment supplied by Datacraft and as well as other vendors. It also encompasses the administration of all network management systems and includes network infrastructure consultancy.

The contract has no material impact on this financial year.
