Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. Appoints Jun Seki as New President

WUHAN, China, Dec. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. (DFL), Nissan's joint venture in China, today announced a senior management change effective January 1, 2014. Jun Seki, currently vice president of DFL, will assume the position of president. Seki will be officially named president at the DFL board meeting scheduled for late December.

Also effective January 1, 2014, Kimiyasu Nakamura, current president of DFL, will become executive vice president responsible for TCSX (total customer satisfaction function) at the Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (NML) headquarters in Yokohama.

Ping Xu, chairman of the Dongfeng Group and DFL said: "DFL, as the largest automotive joint venture in China, has been developing with outstanding achievements for ten years since its establishment in 2003. In fact, it has brought a great number of benefits for the parent companies, Dongfeng and Nissan, and all other stakeholders, and also has fulfilled its corporate social responsibilities to Chinese society.

Seki joined NML in 1986 and has held various management positions, including responsibility for powertrain production engineering. In April 2012, he was appointed corporate vice president of the Japan/Asia business, management of affiliated companies and Japanese domestic network. Seki has been based in Wuhan since April 2013, when he was appointed vice president of DFL responsible for product planning and the electric vehicle business.
