HONG KONG, Jan. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Leading integrated securities enterprise Guotai Junan International Holdings Limited ("Guotai Junan International" or the "Company" and, together with its subsidiaries, the "Group"; Stock code: 1788) signed a memorandum of understanding ("MOU") today with Hana Daetoo Securities Co. Ltd.("Hana Daetoo"), a securities arm of Hana Financial Holdings Ltd., for cooperation and information exchange.
The MOU was signed in Hong Kong by Dr. Yim Fung, Vice Chairman and CEO of Guotai Junan International and Mr. Kim JiWan, the CEO of Hana Daetoo. Under the MOU, the two sides will establish a close relationship for collaboration and accelerate their development through the cooperation in the capital markets, which cover secondary market trading, investment banking, securities information, client support and regulatory support. The collaboration will allow Hana Daetoo Securities to leverage on Guotai Junan International's platform in Hong Kong and mainland stock markets (through The Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor ("QFII") scheme) to carry out trading activities in both markets. The services are expected to be introduced to the customers of Hana Daetoo in mid-March 2012.
