CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., September 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Hikvision® USA, the North American leader in innovative, award-winning video surveillance products and solutions, has partnered with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), helping the organization fund cancer research and provide support to those affected by the disease. On September 19, Hikvision USA employees and their families participated in the Light the Night Walk at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, an event that raised over half a million dollars to fund therapies and treatments that save lives.
With a focus on funding cancer research and providing access to medical care, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has quadrupled blood cancer survival rates over the past 40 years. LLS-funded research has led to many of today's most promising advances, including targeted therapies and immunotherapies. The Light the Night Walk is one of the organization's most impactful fundraising efforts: over $495 million has been contributed by Light the Night participants and donors since 1999. The event gets its name from the lanterns carried by team members and cancer survivors during the walk.
