Holaverse's Tiny Android Apps Achieve Global Success with over 390 million installs in First Year since Launching on Google Play

SHANGHAI, Dec. 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Stealth mobile application developer Holaverse recently celebrated its hugely successful first year of operations, which saw the company add 390 million Android installs worldwide since November 2014.

Beginning in May, Holaverse has spent five consecutive months on App Annie's worldwide top 10 Android developers list. Its most popular app, Hola Launcher, has been among the top 10 most downloaded apps globally since June. All three of its apps are consistently featured hundreds of times a day throughout the Google Play store, with its second most popular app - Omni Swipe - getting special mention as "The Container Store for apps" by the official Google Play Twitter account.

The success of Holaverse gives credit to its product philosophy of "smaller, yet bigger." Its apps offer extensive, powerful features for Android users to achieve the ultimate combination of efficiency with minimal effort.

Hola Launcher is a home screen interface replacement that allows Android users to organize, customize, and simplify their mobile desktop while providing value-added features including news headlines and weather information in an app just 3MB in size. This allows devices to boot faster, making them more responsive, giving users a smoother mobile experience.

Among mainstream competitors with over 100 million downloads, Hola Launcher is also the only one still compatible with Android 2.3, despite being constantly updated to improve features and experience for users.

In response to the trend of increasing screen sizes on mobile devices, Holaverse also released Omni Swipe roughly a year ago. It's an innovative fan-shaped quick-launch menu that brings a user's favorite apps, settings, and even contacts within reach of their thumb, negating the need to use both hands to operate one's phone.

Meanwhile, Locker Master, the company's third star app, allows users to create, share, and download custom lock screens. It's unique OpenGL ES graphics engine powers an expanding gallery of interactive and animated tools and effects that users can incorporate into their designs.

Holaverse's rapid rise has attracted attention from industry giants such as Google and Facebook, both of whom have done detailed case studies on the company. Google wrote: "Hola Launcher's combination of simplicity and personalization propelled the app's popularity among Android users, achieving over 100 million downloads in less than nine months on Google Play." Facebook's Audience Network also remarked about Holaverse's "popular Android OS applications [helping] users customize their devices to make them more convenient and efficient."

With a keen focus on addressing user pain points and capitalizing on mobile industry trends, Holaverse continues to explore new application categories to further bridge mobile users with both their mobile devices and the mobile internet. It anticipates diversifying from its existing stable of apps to explore opportunities in new categories and platforms.
