The Best Team went to the group of Herman Mok, Heather Huang, Tasha Tong Xiaochen, third year student of ACCA Bounded Class at Shanghai University of Finance & Economics and Charles Wang Huihong, second year student of ACCA Bounded Class at Sun Yat-sen University.

Dr Anthony Tyen, Council Member of ACCA and head judge of the China Grand Final, said that the Job Hunting Competition, held in its 9th year, aimed to give university students an opportunity to equip themselves with the skills essential for their future pursuit of desired jobs in the competitive recruitment market. In order to provide opportunities of practical experience for contestants, ACCA has partnered up with nearly 70 different corporations and organisations to provide over 100 internship opportunities for outstanding candidates in Mainland China.  ACCA also offered shortlisted Hong Kong candidates a two-day job shadowing placement opportunity in Shanghai. This year, the competition has successfully drawn applications from students of nearly 200 universities throughout China.

The 12 grand finalists of the China Grand Final are the top three winners of the Beijing, Shanghai Guangzhou and Hong Kong regional competitions. They were divided into 3 groups and required to submit their proposals for a given simulated business case within two hours on the day of the China Grand Final.

This year, grand finalists were asked to analysis the business proposal submitted by a newly established online travel booking platform and then presented their recommendation report to the management of an investment bankers' consortium (judges). The panel of judges consisted of senior executives including the Big Four firms and assessed the performance of each contestant according to his/her analytical skills, team work and presentation skills.

The judges were unanimously impressed by the remarkable performance of Harry Yung, who revealed his leadership by balancing diverse ideas of his group members during the group discussion session. Yung also demonstrated his self-confidence and excellent presentation skills by answering judges' questions precisely. Yung also won the "Most Popular Candidate Award" by receiving the most number of votes from the audience.
