BEIJING, Nov. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The 13th China Food Safety Annual Conference was held at the Great Hall of People in Beijing, during which Infinitus (China) Company Ltd., member of LKK Health Products Group (LKKHPG), was awarded the title of "Excellent Innovative Case of China Food Safety Management."
It is the 13th consecutive year that Infinitus has been awarded by the Conference, including the titles of the "Top Ten Enterprises of China Food Safety," the "National Food Safety Demonstration Units" and the "Top 100 Creditable Demonstration Units of China Food Safety."
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), it is estimated that two million deaths occur every year from unsafe food. Hence, the WHO dedicated this year's World Health Day to the issue of food safety, reminding the necessity of enhancing the food safety systems inside and between nations. The Chinese government is also actively resorting to effective measures to safeguard food safety. A good case in point is the newly-revised Food Safety Law of People's Republic of China, which was effective from 1 October 2015 and became a focal topic for comprehensive elaboration at this year's China Food Safety Annual Conference.
As an annual gala for China's food industry and a high-end platform in the field of food safety, the China Food Safety Annual Conference has been held for the 13th consecutive year. This year, it was jointly held by the member units of the Food Safety Committee of the State Council, including the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the National Health and Family Planning Commission, General Administration of Customs, State Administration for Industry & Commerce, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and China National Food Industry Association.
