CHICAGO and BEIJING, Sept. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Intellectual Property Exchange International, Inc. (IPXI), the world's first financial exchange for licensing and trading intellectual property (IP) rights, announced today that its Chief Executive Officer, Gerard Pannekoek, is visiting mainland China and Taiwan to market the Exchange's first-ever offering, namely, a 600+ patent asset portfolio related to organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technology for display screen applications. As mainland China and Taiwan are considered key markets for the offering, Pannekoek will be there next week, from September 9 – September 13, to meet with interested parties and speak on a panel at the Patent Information Annual Conference of China (PIAC).

While in Beijing and Taiwan, Pannekoek and other IPXI senior management will participate in meetings with companies that have expressed interest in the IPXI offering and in the Exchange's unique model. Those interested in meeting with IPXI officials between September 9 and September 12 can contact hwang@ipxi.com.

IPXI has made the OLED Offering Memorandum available on the company's website, www.ipxi.com. The Offering Memorandum is the formal marketing and disclosure document for the offering. A wide range of additional information regarding the patents and technology is also available through the OLED offering's data room at https://trade.ipxi.com/ulrs. The marketing activities for the offering include visits to industry conferences, and meetings and presentations with prospective investors and licensees in Asia, Europe and the United States. Once the initial offering is subscribed with sufficient indications of interest, the first tranche of the offering will close, and trading will begin on the trading platform the following day.

The portfolio is the result of nearly two decades of comprehensive research and development in the field by Koninklijke Philips N.V. (Philips), the world leader in healthcare, lifestyle and lighting. Initiated in the early 1990s, the research resulted in one of the largest and most robust patent portfolios in OLED technology. Each OLED ULR contract provides the right to manufacture, use, sell, offer to sell or import five square meters of an OLED display for application in any display screen device. Collectively, the patented technology addresses a variety of high-level issues that arise in the development of OLED display panels.

Mr. Pannekoek will also speak on the September 13 panel discussion at the PIAC entitled "How Patent Assets are Transformed into Tangible Assets." Hosted by the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), the international conference addresses the latest trends in intellectual property.
