2013-06-06 19:29 2120

BEIJING, June 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Jingdong ("JD.com" or the "Company"), China's leading direct B2C e-commerce company, today announced that it has launched three new cloud services: JDHosting, a hosting service platform for vendors; JDEngine, a web application development and operation platform; and JDZone, an online developer community. These services expand on the Company's existing open cloud-based ecosystem that already included Jingdong Open Service ("JOS"), which it launched in May 2012.

The newly launched JDHosting, JDEngine, and JDZone services allow Jingdong to further expand its cloud services scope into the Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IAAS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PAAS) spaces. The Company's long-term aim is to help its marketplace vendors, independent software vendors, other business partners, and individual developers improve operational efficiency and flexibility in a cost-effective way.

"Jingdong is developing an open, collaborative, and cloud-based environment to meet the huge challenge of satisfying the personalized demands from our customers," He Gang, VP of Technology and Chief Scientist of Jingdong, said. "We believe that our cloud-based ecosystem will help Jingdong leverage third-party developers and create value for both our vendors and customers."
