When I arrived in the United States, the first place I went was Los Angeles, where I attended the Sino-US economic, trade and cultural summit held by the U.S. Congress, officials of Ministry of Commerce and local leaders of overseas Chinese. When I visited Hollywood, I stopped at Bruce Lee's name on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in memory of this big star who promoted the friendship between the Chinese and local people with confidence and strength. He came to the U.S. with a dream, and Hollywood told us with the Walk of Fame that each person deserves the right to have their own dream. And this dream is the world we want.
Every morning we wake up, our children go to school joyfully, but there are still those struggling for food, for health, and for survival. Today we are commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the United Nations and the 70th Anniversary of the end of World War II, yet terrorist attacks still happen from time to time. We need to reflect on it: what kind of world do we want? It's peace and win-win. It's mutual respect and development.
My family and I are grateful for our country. In China, there is care and protection for the aged until their last days, there is high employment, and there is food and education for children and young people. As a matter of fact, with China's increasing strength and peace concept, not only has China seen an unprecdented improvement in the standard of living, but also the world has shared the benefits from the development of China. The iPhone in your hands, the Christmas tree in your house, and probably the high-speed train you take, they all have a common element, Made in China! This is the power of peace and development. It is the choice of our country that makes Chinese entrepreneurs face the new challenges with confidence.
