CHENGDU, China, August 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Together with the Volunteer Alliance from Optoelectronic Information Institution from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), the Summer Aid Education Program launched by Milanoo concluded smoothly on August 2, 2013, with the teaching support team completing its mission successfully.

The Volunteer Alliance from the Optoelectronic Information Institution from UESTC was established in June 2013, by combining with the volunteer team from the institution. In July 2013, Milanoo officially started the collaborative relationship with "Volunteer Alliance", dedicated to providing long-term public programs like teaching support, student internships, weekend charity practice activities and so on. In mid-July, with funding from Milanoo, 10 students from the coalition named "Glimmer Education Support Team" went to Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, signifying the start of long-term public projects.

The volunteer teachers traveled far to the Xinyun countryside of Huidong County in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture to carry out the activity, which lasted for half a month.

Xinyun County is a purely agricultural town, with a total population of about 12,000 people. Up to 3,000 people work as migrant workers each year, so a large number of left-behind children struggle in difficult and poor learning and living conditions. During the half month, the volunteer college students taught courses for grade four and five primary school students in Xinyun. They also brought donated equipment, including about 600 books, school bags, stationery, projectors and so on. The teachers elaborately arranged abundant curriculums for the children. Apart from cultural courses, they offered classes included Music, Physical Training, Chinese Chess, Drawing, and even international forefront training courses named "Afutong" aiming to teach children about social and financial capabilities.

These elder brothers and sisters not only want to bring these children more knowledge, but also let them know more about the outside world, filling their tiny inner worlds with more desires and dreams. After a short period, the kids formed a deep affection for the teachers from afar. In a message left to a teacher, one kid said: "You brought so much knowledge and joy to us, and we gained much more during your stay here. Here I'd like to thank you all for coming so far to teach us. We feel very happy."

The teaching activity received full sponsorship from Milanoo. In a letter of thanks to Milanoo, Xinyun Primary School stated: "This kind of activity established a link between town and country, developing the students' horizons, giving them strength to move upward; what's more, they learned a spirit of devotion and gratitude, which is a lifelong benefit."

As our business matures, Milanoo hopes to assume more social responsibility, contributing to the community with a grateful heart. In fact, the teaching program is just another start, but its smooth progress reinforces Milanoo's resolution to commit to conduct long-term public welfare projects.

HR Vice President Xu said, "The Teaching Program is only a small part of Milanoo's public welfare plan. In the future, Milanoo will gradually expand the scope and scale of public funding. Our goal is as always: to be a caring, responsible and conscientious corporation."
