HONG KONG, July 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Benefiting from the "Giving Back" core value of Morgan Stanley, a leading global financial services firm, Aoi Pui School, the first primary school in Hong Kong for moderate to high functioning students with autism, is set to showcase its renovated campus in an Open Week, August 17 - 21, 2015.
As part of its Global Volunteer Month campaign, Morgan Stanley has arranged for 89 summer interns to give their time to rejuvenating the school's premises today by painting and decorating the corridors, staircases, classrooms and function rooms. The half-day program also includes engagement with Aoi Pui School students such as bread making, art jamming and producing decoupage bags for the school's Fun Fair to be held at the end of the year. Each year, Morgan Stanley interns are encouraged to participate in a group volunteering activity to experience first-hand the firm's commitment to Giving Back.

The school offers both the national curriculum and customized autism-specific curriculum. It adopts the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) model, a scientifically proven approach that enables students with ASD to achieve their best possible potential. Aoi Pui School's campus is a 4-storey block with 6 classrooms, a cookery room, a boutique room, a computer room, a multipurpose hall, a covered playground, an entertainment room, and a laundry room. The Morgan Stanley team gave the school a total makeover: they retouched the classrooms with new decorations, repainted the staircases and planted trees and flowers to give the school a breath of fresh air.

It was founded by the Autism Partnership Foundation in 2007 to help support families and children with ASD with suitable autism-specific schooling.
