HONG KONG, Feb. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Nissan announced today total Asia and Oceania sales for January of 23,300 units, a decrease of 23.9 percent compared to prior year.

January highlights:

  • Almera contributed to strong sales with 1,940 units for the month, and Juke surged to a record high of 1,410 units, an increase of 133.8 percent compared with the previous month, despite the ongoing political disruption in Thailand.
  • Grand Livina (2,250 units) was the main contributor to Indonesia sales, although flooding in Jakarta impacted sales.
  • Malaysia posted its second-best sales month of all-time with 6,020 units, driven by the popular Almera, with 3,420 units.
