SHANGHAI, Dec. 12 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Praxair China today announced it
is notifying its helium gas customers in China of helium gas price increase
of 25 percent. The increase shall be effective December 15th 2006, or as
otherwise permitted by the terms and conditions of customer contracts.
The increase is being implemented in response to strong demand as well as
continued fuel, logistics and other operational cost pressures, especially
the high cost of crude gas and refined liquid purchases. Praxair has taken
this action as an effort to ensure customer reliability and service in the
tight supply market of these products.
