SHANGHAI, Dec. 6, 2010 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Praxair China has signed a long-term contract with Beijing Jin Jing Solar Materials Co., Ltd (Beijing Jin Jing) to supply on-site industrial gases for its key growth project, the Low-Emissivity (Low-E) oxy-fuel float glass production lines.
Beijing Jin Jing is a subsidiary of Jin Jing Group, the leader in the Chinese and Asian glass sectors with successful efforts in the development and production of high-tech glass products.
Praxair China will build one air separation unit, two vacuum pressure swing adsorption plants and one steam methane reforming plant to meet the oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen demands of Beijing Jin Jing’s project. These gases will help the project achieve greater energy savings in natural gas as well as a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions. The Praxair units are expected to start-up in the first quarter of 2012.
