QFII Quota Granted to BOCI-Prudential Asset Management (Note 1)

BOCI-Prudential Asset Management (Note 1) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that a Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor ("QFII") quota of USD 150 million has been granted by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange ("SAFE") to the Company on 21 August 2012.

As a QFII institution, the Company can directly access to onshore RMB denominated and settled financial instruments in mainland China, such as bonds and fixed-income products, and A-shares listed on the stock exchanges in mainland China, etc through the QFII quota. It allows the Company to seize the investment potential of the respective markets on behalf of investors in the near future. Details on the QFII products will be announced after the product authorization from the regulator has been obtained.
