SYDNEY, Aug. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- RS Components, the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), the world's leading high service distributor of electronics and maintenance products, has extended its global partnership with the SMC Corporation, world leading specialist in pneumatics and automation, into Australia and New Zealand.
RS Components will offer 4,600 SMC products across the region and more than 2,200 of these are stocked locally in Australia for next-day delivery. The range comprises a broad selection of pneumatic equipment including actuators, fittings, filters, regulators, lubricators, tubing, control valves, blow guns, silencers, pressure gauges and flow control equipment.
Through the RS Components eCommerce platform, customers have instant access to SMC products with the ability to view product models in 3D, and to place orders 24 hours-a-day. As a multi-channel supplier, RS Components also offers fax and phone ordering services.
RS Components and SMC will continue to extend their trading partnership over the next few years, incrementally adding SMC pneumatics products to the ANZ range.
