HONG KONG, March 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) announced the results of RICS Hong Kong Awards 2015 at its Hong Kong Annual Dinner on 13 March 2015. Achievements from over 20 outstanding teams in the property industry were recognised and the jury panel named Mr Victor So, Chairman of Urban Renewal Authority, Lifetime Achiever in recognition of his contribution to Hong Kong's built environment.

Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Mr Victor So, Chairman of Urban Renewal Authority, for the substantial and exemplary contribution he made to the property industry over the span of his career. Mr So said, "This award is not only a recognition of my humble achievement since becoming a Chartered Surveyor in 1976, it also encourages me, as chairman of the Urban Renewal Authority, to join hands with my colleagues in tackling the tenacious urban decay problems and making Hong Kong a better place to live."

Mr Philip Lo, Chair of Jury Panel and Global Board Chairman of Rider Levett Bucknall, said, "The outstanding quality of nominations this year led to an exceptionally fierce competition. Even with stringent judging criteria, nominations show even performance with the champions winning by a small margin. It's truly a pleasure to witness the excellence and professionalism demonstrated by players of Hong Kong's built environment."
