Essence restaurant hosts 10-day Malaysian Festival from 8-17 September
SHANGHAI, August 24, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The exotic and spicy flavours of Malaysian cuisine are coming to the Hilton Shanghai Hongqiao this month as the all-day Essence restaurant opens its kitchens to the multi-cultural diversity of the Southeast Asian state. The 10-day Malaysian Festival running from 8-17 September will feature three award-winning chefs from the Hilton in Kuala Lumpur who will tempt the taste buds of diners with distinctive specialties from different states of the country.
Guests can look forward to hawker-style favourites like bak kut teh soup, char kway teow noodles, Penang laksa, Ipoh Hor Fan and wanton mee, as well as chilli crab, succulent satays and otak-otak featuring delicious baked minced seafood. Traditional Malaysian desserts such as putu piring, ice kacang, bobo chacha and colourful local cakes will also be featured, along with specialty beverages like the Teh Tarik.
