Senior Flag Officers From Royal Malaysian Navy and Newly-Commissioned Vietnam Coast Guard to Participate at the 10th Annual Coastal Surveillance Conference in Singapore

SINGAPORE, Sept. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Following the latest high-profile maritime operations off the East coast of Sabah, Rear Admiral Dato' Pahlawan Mohammad Rosland Omar, Commander, Naval Region Two, Royal Malaysian Navy, will be providing a keynote address at the 10th Annual Coastal Surveillance Conference in Singapore from 11-13 November. Dato' Rosland Omar joins Senior Colonel Tran Van Nam, Deputy regional Commander from the newly-commissioned Vietnam Coast Guard in being the latest high-profile senior naval officers in attending the event.

Inter-agency cooperation, maritime security, and non-traditional threats are among the key discussion points at the conference, with participation and attendance from over 250 delegates. The conference will also bring together leading flag officer presentations from key organisations including MMEA, Royal Thai Navy, Indonesian Navy, Philippines Navy, Philippines Coast Guard, Bakorkamla, EU Naval Forces and the US Navy.

The Coastal Surveillance conference will also allow leading industry players to showcase their solutions this year to the growing maritime security and surveillance market in the Asia Pacific region.
