SEOUL, South Korea, July 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Incheon International Airport will be hosting cultural performances of various genres to entertain visitors during the peak holiday period of the summer season. "Viva! Summer Concert" will be held on the 1st floor of the Passenger Terminal between the 1st and 5th of August with one-hour performances starting from 4pm. The first day will feature a classical music concert starring Taekyung Lim, a true prince of the local musical community, and Minji Kim, a "Top 10" singer of the final round of 'The Korea Got Talent program'. Minji Kim won the hearts of many fans for the inspiring performances she gave despite being blind.

On the second day there will be a uniquely Korean 'Arirang Party' with graceful and splendidly colorful traditional Korean dance performances followed by a dynamic Taekwondo exhibition.

Then, on August 3rd, the piano genius Bora Jin along with the Aloysius Orchestra will play beautiful pieces together, which will be followed by a mini concert performed by 'Sweet Sorrow', a famous four-man a cappella group.

The fifth and final day will feature 'The Kim Jakyung Opera' performing L'elisir d'amore (Elixir of Love), the moving opera composed by the Italian Domenico Gaetano Maria Donizetti in 1832.

In addition to the "Viva! Summer Concert", there will be small boutique harp ensembles in the duty free area from July 20th to August 4th as a special event for the summer peak season.

President & CEO Chang-Soo Jung said, "The number of visitors will reach a record-high this summer and early August will be the peak period. For that reason we scheduled the performances for the first week of that month. I truly wish the series of performances will become a memorable event for our visitors and make their stay more enjoyable."

Incheon International Airport Corporation continuously offers distinct cultural performances and attractions year round, including regular daily performances, the traditional culture street on the 4th floor, and the Exhibition Hall for Korean History and Culture.
