SHANGHAI, China, March 26 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- The 2008 China International Dye Industry, Pigments and Textile Chemicals Exhibition (China Interdye 2008), to be staged from Apr. 15 to Apr. 17, 2008, will attract 400 famous enterprises from home and abroad, covering 14 countries and regions, such as the U.S.A., Germany, France, India, Japan, ROK, Switzerland, the U.K., Thailand, Singapore, Italy, China, Hong Kong SAR, and Taiwan. China Interdye 2008 is to be held simultaneously at the Shanghai International Exhibition Center (Intex Shanghai) and Shanghaimart, with a floor space of 20,000 square meters. Exhibits include a wide variety of dyestuff, intermediates, organic pigments, textile chemicals, various auxiliaries and finishing agents, various chemicals for textiles, and equipment for related production, analysis, inspection, testing, and monitoring, as well as dyeing and printing equipment and the equipment for the treatment of "three wastes," namely, waste water, waste gas, and solid wastes.

Various activities and seminars to be held on the sideline of this exhibition have always been in the highlight and pursuit of domestic and overseas professional circles of the dyestuff industry. During this exhibition, famous enterprises in the dyestuff industry such as Zschimmer&Schwarz, Jintex, and Q-Lab will hold seminars on technical exchange for professional visitors.

At 14:00-16:00 on April 15 and 16, Zschimmer&Schwarz will hold two technical exchange seminars in a row in the No. 4A Meeting Room of Shanghaimart. The theme for the seminar to be held on April 15 is “White polyamide/Elastane fabrics-how to avoid thermo and storage yellowing”and “Go for gold -- Zschimmer&Schwarz systems for the successful aftertreatment of polyamide micro and blends with elastane”, while the theme for the April 16 seminar is "A green botton line -- specialities for treatment of polycotton and elastane containing fabrics”.

Jintex Corporation Ltd. will hold a seminar on " Textile Industry vs. ECO Technology -- The Development, Trend, and Application of Eco-auxiliary” between 13:30-15:30 on April 15 in the No. 2B Meeting Room of Shanghaimart. Mr. Nickel Leu, assistant manager of Textile Application Division, Jintex Corporation Limited, will give a special report on the market situation and the development of the application of textile auxiliaries featuring environmental protection and energy conservation. Meanwhile, he will also showcase the latest related technical products in application. The report will explore related issues concerning the diversified development of environmental protection and energy conservation, and functional textile auxiliaries, based on the understanding of the present social concern over green textile products and eco-protection, the rising cost of energy, the explicit requirements of the Oeko-Tex Association in this regard, and the required compliance of textile auxiliaries with the demands from environmental protection besides the necessary performance basics regarding application and fastness.

Meanwhile, at 13:30-15:30 on April 15, Q-Lab Corporation (Q-Panel Lab Products) will hold a technical seminar in the No. 2A Meeting Room of Shanghaimart on the theme of "Affordable Lightfastness Testing Solution." The seminar will focus on an introduction of the latest progress of ISO 105 B02 textile lightfastness testing solution. In July 2007, textile standardization organizations from China, India, and the U.K., raised a common proposal on the textile standardization meeting of the ISO TC 38/SC1 committee, pointing out that ISO 105-B02 should be revised into a testing method based on performance. The proposal was drafted on the basis of the experimental data from thousands of samples covering 10 categories of experimental equipment in about 70 laboratories. Therefore, the proposal is the lightfastness testing experiment of the largest scale up till now. The proposal has been adopted. The Society of Dyers and Colourists (SDC) of the UK is in charge of the revision of this standard specified by the proposal. In addition, Q-Lab will also promote their new product, Q-Sun B02 Lightfastness Xenon Test Chambers, which were shown for the first time on the ITMA 2007, the world’s largest international textile machinery exhibition, in Munich.

The new B02 is a lightfastness tester designed with a rotating specimen rack. In addition, its capacity is 48% to 92% larger than comparable xenon testers. Thus, it provides precise control of critical textile test parameters, including spectrum, irradiance, relative humidity, chamber temperature and black standard temperature. Even smaller textile labs now will find xenon lightfastness testing affordable with the less costly Q-Sun B02 in terms of both price and operation cost, which meets the testing standards of ISO and AATCC.

The organizers for this exhibition are China Dyestuff Industry Association, China Dyeing and Printing Association, Shanghai Sub-Council of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT Sub-Council), Shanghai Chamber of Commerce of China Chamber of International Commerce, Shanghai World Expo (Group) Co., Ltd., while the co-organizer is the Shanghai International Exhibition Service Corp.
