XCMG Donates Loader to Santa Catarina, Brazil for Flood Relief

SANTA CATARINA, Brazil, November 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Global construction and mining equipment manufacturer XCMG donated a loader to the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil which is currently experiencing heavy floods.

Wang Min, chairman and president of XCMG decided to provide assistance when he learned the southern cities of the state is fighting a flood hazard during his visit to Santa Catarina. The severe flood has affected 30,000 people across 97 towns, displacing 1,790 people. XCMG's aid aimed to bring timely help to reduce the damage caused by the flood.

Joao Raimundo Colombo, governor of Santa Catarina, highly praised XCMG's initiative to support local communities since the company built factories in Brazil.

"I've always appreciated XCMG's advanced technical achievements in construction machinery industry, at the same time, the company's strong sense of social responsibilityis also very admirable," Colombo said.

Wang stressed that now with factories in Brazil, XCMG not only strives to satisfy customers with high quality products, but also does the best to support the local communities.

"XCMG symbolizes a bridge of friendship between China and Brazil. Since we put down roots in Brazil, it's our responsibility to immerse ourselves here by passing the message of love," Wang said.

XCMG officially opened factories in Brazil in 2014 and has been actively fulfilling the corporate social responsibilities to give back the customers and society since then.

The company has donated road washers to Pouso Alegre of Minas Gerais state for environmental sanitation and established alliance with SENAI Technician College School to provide more job opportunities in Curitiba, Brazil. In Sao Paulo, XCMG is participating in major competitions and events. The company was named Outstanding Enterprise at the TOP 2014 grand ceremony hosted by NEWS DIAS in 2014.

XCMG is also involved with charity and public welfare projects in Brazil.

Its employees in Brazil have volunteered to help local seniors as well as children in the welfare center.
