Argosy Expands Management Organization To Keep Pace With Rapid Growth

NEW YORK and SHANGHAI, April 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Argosy International Inc., the leading supplier of advanced composites and related materials to the Asia Pacific aerospace industry, created and filled two new management positions to keep pace with its rapid growth; it was announced today by Paul Marks, Chairman and CEO of Argosy. The company's average annual growth rate over the past 5 years was 30%.

Ms. Michelle Chen, formerly the Director of Human Resources in Asia for Owens-Illinois, was appointed Global Human Resources Director and has joined Argosy's Executive Leadership Team. Ms. Chen will be based in Shanghai and will report to Richard Rocco, President and COO of Argosy based in New York. Ms. Chen earned her MBA degree from BI Norwegian School of Management at Fudan University and her Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade from Beijing Language University. She is also a certified GE Six Sigma Black Belt.

Mr. S.K. Hong, formerly Managing Director of Argosy's operations in Korea, was promoted to the new position of Asia Pacific Sales Director and will oversee Argosy's commercial organization in mainland China, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia and India. Mr. Hong will report to Ryan Flugel, Argosy's Vice President, Sales and Marketing, who is based in Seattle, Washington.
