The programme is a joint initiative by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) and New Zealand Winegrowers (NZW) through the New Zealand Wine High Impact Program.

Primarily tailored at Chinese wine professionals, the certificate course aims to increase professionals' knowledge and enthusiasm for New Zealand wine by providing clear, consistent, and accurate information about New Zealand wine.

"This joint initiative is the first official New Zealand wine course of its kind offered in China, delivered by highly respected Chinese and New Zealand wine educators," said Monty James, Marketing Manager Asia, New Zealand Winegrowers.

"It is a prestigious and professional programme developed to heighten knowledge, appreciation and enthusiasm for New Zealand's truly world class wine."

A pilot of the programme will be introduced to eight leading Chinese wine educators and journalists prior to Pinot Noir NZ 2013, New Zealand's premier showcase of Pinot Noir wines, held in Wellington from 28-31 January 2013.

The 3-day workshop will be curated by the world-renowned New Zealand Master of Wine Bob Campbell.

Bob Campbell will provide his insights on the different aspects and facets of New Zealand wines and wine regions at classes and tastings.
