MACAU, April 10, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- From learning about the latest trends in Asian and global gaming tohands-on professional development workshops, Global Gaming Expo Asia (G2E Asia) 2012 will offer the insights and knowledge industry professionals need to compete in the global gaming market. Taking place May 22-24 at the Venetian Macao, in Macau S.A.R., People's Republic of China, G2E Asia 2012 will provide attendees with the opportunity to explore the top issues affecting gaming in the pan-Asian region during conference sessions and networking events designed to inspire the industry novice and veteran alike.

"For the past five years, G2E Asia has been the premiere conference event for the Pan-Asian region, providing gaming industry professionals with the education they need to succeed," said Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr., President and CEO of the American Gaming Association (AGA). "Now in its sixth year, the 2012 Conference will again offer attendees unmatched networking opportunities and access to the industry experts who are leading the way in this rapidly evolving marketplace."

This year, G2E Asia is excited to host Asia's first Global Gaming Women (GGW) event, a networking breakfast and speed mentoring event for women executives from across the international gaming industry. The event, scheduled for Thursday, May 24 at 8 a.m., will also feature a roundtable discussion among female leaders from the Asian gaming market. This event builds on the AGA's 2011 launch of GGW, a development program to nurture emerging female leaders in the international gaming industry.

The G2E Asia 2012 Conference will begin Tuesday, May 22 with the Global Markets Forum, a full-day program featuring a series of in-depth discussions on how various economic and regulatory issues are affecting current and emerging gaming jurisdictions in the pan-Asian region. Sessions will include "Spotlight on Macau: A Conversation with Local Leaders", "Compare and Contrast: The Differing Gaming Models of Cambodia and Vietnam", "If Not Now, When? Legalization in Japan, Korea and Taiwan", "Manila Makeover: The New Philippine Market" and "Success in Singapore: Has Gaming Delivered on Its Promise?"

On Wednesday, May 23, the conference will divide into two tracks -- one for senior management and one for middle management -- covering operations, gaming technology and marketing with content tailored to each group. Sessions designed for senior management include "Regulatory Review: Lessons for the Emerging Market", "The Asian IPO: How to Evaluate an Emerging Company" and "More Than Gaming: How the Integrated Resort Can Work Across Asia". Sessions for middle managers include "Beyond Baccarat: Cultivating Non-Gaming Business", "Spreading the Word: Marketing Across Asia" and "Excellent Employees: How to Grow and Retain Talent in Asia".

General conference sessions will be held Wednesday, May 23 and Thursday, May 24 and will focus on technology, economic and social trends, the gaming market in China and the impact of social media. G2E Asia once again will feature a general session on VIP junkets on May 23 titled "Very Important Business: The Evolution of Junket Operations" where conference attendees can learn how junket operations have changed during the past five years, how licensing and regulations are imposed and what the future holds for the often tenuous relationship between junket operators and casinos around the world.

The G2E Asia Gaming Management Certificate Program also will take place Thursday, May 24 and will include special interactive educational workshops designed to help new casino managers in Asia further their knowledge of current gaming trends. This executive program is produced in partnership with gaming professors at the University of Macau and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Singapore. All attendees will receive an official certificate of completion from both sponsoring universities and G2E Asia.

All G2E events will provide simultaneous translation services, allowing attendees to listen to sessions in English or Cantonese.
